Knicks trade Tyson Chandler to Mavs as part of 6-player deal
The New York Knicks made their trade of center Tyson Chandler and guard Raymond Felton official Wednesday, announcing that they have acquired center Samuel Dalembert and guards Jose Calderon, Wayne Ellington, and Shane Larkin from the Dallas Mavericks.
New York also received two second-round picks (No. 34 and No. 51 overall) in Thursday's draft as part of the deal.
"The journey to build this team for the upcoming season and beyond continues," Knicks president Phil Jackson said in a statement. "We have added players with this move that will fit right in to our system while maintaining future flexibility.
"We would like to thank Raymond and Tyson for their time and hard work with the organization over the past few years."
As Howard Beck of Bleacher Report notes, the trade had little effect on the Knicks' cap space.
