Report: Raptors chasing Grizzlies' 1st-round pick

The Toronto Raptors appear to be trying to get active at the bottom half of the first round of tonight's NBA Draft.

According to reports the Raptors are targeting the Memphis Grizzlies No. 22 pick, in exchange for their second round pick (No. 37) and John Salmons. Along with the 22nd overall the Raptors would also take on the contract of small forward Tayshaun Prince, according to ESPN's Marc Stein

With incumbent point guard Kyle Lowry set to be an unrestricted free agent in a week's time and talking about winning championships, the Raptors could use a pair of picks - their own No. 20 pick and the Grizzlies' No. 22 - to make sure they add a point guard at the draft.

Canadian point guard Tyler Ennis from Syracuse is rumored to be the Raptors main target at No.20, and they are reportedly interested in Swiss big man Clint Capela if they are able to acquire the No. 22, according to Chad Ford

The Raptors would be forced to pick between the two players if they fail to acquire the Grizzlies' pick, so the logic dictates they may as well try to land both.
