Nuggets trade No. 11 pick McDermott to Bulls for Nurkic (No. 16) and Harris (No. 19)
It seems the Nuggets selected forward Doug McDermott with a trade in mind.
The Nuggets turned around and dealt McDermott, along with Anthony Randolph, to the Chicago Bulls for picks No. 16 (Jusuf Nurkic) and 19 (Gary Harris) along with a future second-round picks.
I'm told Doug McDermott will head to Chicago via trade with Denver. Getting more details now.

The great @sam_amick beat me to it by a few seconds, but also hearing McD may be heading to Bulls.

The Bulls also send a future second-round pick to Denver in the McDermott trade, source says.

The Bulls acquiring McDermott makes a lot of sense, given that their biggest weakness over the past few years has been offense. McDermott led the nation in scoring last season, and as a bonus, can play both forward positions, which happens to be a position at which the Bulls lack scoring.
Parting with three picks hurts, but it's a worthwhile gamble to net a player like McDermott. His biggest weakness is on defense, but with reigning Defensive Player of the Year in center Joakim Noah behind him, McDermott should be allowed to flourish.
How would McDermott's presence affect the Bulls' chances at nabbing a free-agent forward in free-agency? Probably not at all, but it does provide them with a plan B.
