European forward Damjan Rudez has reached an agreement on a three-year deal with the Indiana Pacers, according to a report by Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.
The Pacers have expressed an interest in improving in the shooting department on the free agent market, and bringing in the 6-foot-10 Rudez to play as a stretch-four, helps fill that need.
Rudez is expected to receive a portion of the team's mid-level exception. The Pacers are also in discussions with free agent guard C.J. Miles on a deal which would pay him a "bigger financial portion" of that exception.
Rudez has played for Zaragoza of the Spanish ACB, shooting 44 percent from beyond the arc in the ACB season, and 52 percent from three in the 16-game Euro Cup.
Rudez went undrafted in the 2008 NBA Draft, making him eligible to sign as a free agent.
