McRoberts averaged 8.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game last season.
In signing McRoberts, Heat president Pat Riley has now added tangible help the the Heat's roster. It's unlikely that McRoberts' presence alone will convince his major free-agents to stay, but it does provide them with a player who can reliably play in the starting lineup.
