The Miami Heat are determined to have pieces in place before meeting with unrestricted free-agent LeBron James later this week.

The signing of veteran forward Danny Granger comes on the heels of the signing of forward Josh McRoberts.
Last season, Granger battled injury woes and posted per-game averages of 8.2 points per game in 41 games played between the Indiana Pacers and Los Angeles Clippers. He is two years removed from scoring 18.7 points per game, but that time-frame bookends a serious knee injury that looks to have robbed the one-time All-Star of his athleticism.
Granger, 31, provides immediate help on the Heat's perimeter, especially if he regains his form. Granger is a reliable outside shooter who can play both forward slots in a pinch, although he's best suited to play small forward.
With Granger and McRoberts on board, the Heat's roster now grows to four, with Shabazz Napier and Norris Cole rounding out the rest. The big question is: will it be enough to convince their "Big Three" to stay?
