In a deal that was first reported back on draft night, the Cleveland Cavaliers made it official, trading the non-guaranteed contract of guard Scotty Hopson and cash to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for center Brendan Haywood and forward Dwight Powell.
The first draft of the deal back in late June had Alonzo Gee as part of the deal, but Hopson is the player going to the Hornets. Powell was selected 45th overall in the NBA draft this season.
