It's official. Dwyane Wade is continuing his career as a one-franchise player.

While terms of the deal weren't disclosed by the Heat, ESPN is reporting that it's for two years with a player option for the second year. The Associated Press is also reporting that the deal is in the range of $16 million to $17 million per year, slightly less than the $18,673,000 he earned in 2013-14.

Following the official announcement, Wade released a statement regarding his decision to continue playing in South Beach.

Per ESPN:

I am proud to have spent every single day of my career as a member of the Miami Heat and to have brought three championship titles to this great city, I've been here through the good times and the hard times. I have confidence in the Miami Heat organization and the team they are building. To all the Heat fans, in Miami and around the world, I know you will continue to show support for our team.

A response to the re-signing from Heat president Pat Riley was also posted to the franchise's Instagram account.

Dwyane has been the franchise cornerstone for this team since the day he arrived 11 years ago. He has shown his commitment to the HEAT many times over the course of his career and has always been willing to sacrifice in order to help build this team into a champion. This time is no different. I am ecstatic to have him back in the fold and I am confident that Dwyane, as always, will be leading this team as we look to contend for NBA Championships.

Already the franchise leader in games played, minutes, field goals made, free-throws made, assists, steals, and points, Wade continuing with the Heat will set the bar even higher for future players who pass through the organization.
