The Washington Wizards announced the signing of forward Paul Pierce on Thursday.
Per team policy, the terms of the deal were not disclosed, though earlier reports cite a two-year, $11-million deal for the veteran.
"We are very happy to welcome Paul to our organization and add his championship experience and history of clutch play to our team," president Ernie Grunfeld said in a release. "He will be a good fit alongside our young, dynamic backcourt while his presence and leadership will make a difference for us both on and off the court."
The 10-time All-Star boasts career averages of 21.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.8 assits and 1.4 steals, shooting .447 from the field.
He's recorded 1,177 career games with the Boston Celtics and the Brooklyn Nets, and ranks as the fourth leading scorer among active NBA players (behind Kobe Bryant, Dirk Nowitzki and Kevin Garnett.)
