Paul George teases announcement, hints at possible jersey number change
Paul George took to Twitter in the past few days to hint that a change is coming, and he's really hammering that notion home.
Alright, that is a lot of #Trece, whatever that means. What does it mean? Well, it's Spanish for 13, and you may recall that Jimmy Kimmel has previously lobbied for George to change his jersey number to 13 so he could go by the nickname "PG-13."
George also suggested that people follow Carlos Knox of the Indianapolis Pro Am Summer League for the announcement. It had already been established that George, Lance Stephenson and Chris Copeland were expected to appear at the tournament Aug. 9 however, so it's unclear what the connection is, other than maybe Knox himself making George's announcement later.
With the repetition of the phrases #Trece, the only thing that really seems likely is that George is changing his jersey number from 24 to 13. Nothing else springs to mind that makes sense. Any alternative theories, readers?
