Anthony Davis might still be growing; opponents free to weep as appropriate
Here's a scary thought: Anthony Davis is still growing.
The 21-year-old New Orleans Pelicans forward measured at 6-foot-9.25 without shoes at the NBA Draft Combine in 2012, impressing with a 9-foot standing reach and a ridiculous 7-foot-5.5 wingspan.
Last week, the Pelicans posted a photo on Instagram of the team's Pelicans Jr. Training Camp, having children line their wingspan up against that of the Unibrow. Look closely at the photo - they list Davis' wingspan at 7-foot-7.75.
Considering Davis already led the league in blocked shots per game as a sophomore last season and is the only player in the league with 150 steals and 300 blocks over the past two years, any additional length is probably unfair. Opponents should be terrified, and with Omer Asik now in the fold in New Orleans too, avoiding the paint against them altogether is probably the best course of action.
