Derrick Rose looks more than fine in 1st game action for USA Basketball
On Saturday night, Derrick Rose saw his first game action since tearing his meniscus in November when USA Basketball took on Brazil in a tune-up for this month's FIBA World Cup.
Yes, the Team USA scrimmage had been televised and yes, this was just an exhibition game, so perhaps you'll argue it wasn't his first real game action, but those are semantics. He played against an opponent, and he looked damn good, showing no signs of rust, no trepidation, and certainly no indication that he's any less a player now than in 2012.
He said "my game is totally different" now, but it sure looked like vintage Rose.
We'll let the highlights speak for themselves:
The best part? Rose is just as happy as you are that he's back.
There was one misplay, though:
It's great to have you back, Derrick Rose.
