Cavaliers fan who invaded court to see LeBron allowed back into arena
James Blair, the young man who famously invaded the court at Quicken Loans Arena when LeBron James' Heat were in town and was subsequently banned from The Q for life, has had his ban lifted.
Blair, who entered the court area and walked up to James with a t-shirt that read "We miss you" on the front and "2014 come back" on the back during a 2013 game between the Cavs and Heat, tweeted the news himself on Friday.
A member of the Cavs communciations staff reportedly confirmed the news to team blog FearTheSword.
Blair will be able to enjoy LeBron's homecoming season in Cleveland at the arena if he so chooses, provided he doesn't find his way on the court again.
James acknowledged Blair as he was being escorted off the court by security back in 2013, followed him on Twitter soon after and told Sports Illustrated of Blair, “That’s my guy."
The Cavs may have allowed Blair to return to the arena eventually regardless, but having a returning James backing him obviously helped Blair's cause.
