Adam Silver says NBA will take fresh look at domestic violence policy

With the NFL dealing with the fallout of how poorly they handled the Ray Rice matter and a domestic violence crisis in general, NBA commissioner Adam Silver said Monday that his league will learn from watching the NFL situation unfold.
The NBA, which has seen its own share of domestic violence cases, most recently involving Greg Oden, has often waited for the judicial process to run its course before deciding on their own form of punishment.
Silver did not discuss specifics of any potential policy changes, but the events of the last couple weeks should remind leagues to be more proactive when it comes to dealing with domestic violence, which should have a zero tolerance policy.
