Russell Westbrook is eager to get back to game action.
The Oklahoma City Thunder's star point guard is recovering from a broken right hand, but that hasn't stopped him from participating in team warmups - cast and all.
Thunder coach Scott Brooks would likely welcome Westbrook back in his current capacity.
Oklahoma City has been crushed by injuries this season - most notably to All-Star Kevin Durant (foot) - and is in serious jeopardy of having its four-year reign atop the Northwest Division come to an end. Both players are expected to be out into December.
The Thunder take a 2-6 record into Wednesday's game against the Boston Celtics.
