Thunder's Westbrook will go through non-contact practice Saturday

The light at the end of the tunnel is not far for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Head coach Scott Brooks told reporters that point guard Russell Westbrook and forward Kevin Durant will participate in non-contact practice Saturday.

Additionally, Brooks told reporters that Westbrook and Durant will be re-evaluated next week.

Westbrook has been sidelined for much of the season due to a broken hand. He is expected to return sometime in December, though returning to the court in a limited capacity so soon is certainly a positive sign for Westbrook's recovery.

The Thunder have struggled mightily without their two superstars, as their record currently sits at 3-10 on the season. The Thunder's chances of qualifying for the playoffs in the hyper-competitive Western Conference grows slimmer and slimmer with each game Westbrook and Durant miss.
