Timberwolves' Pekovic likely to go to D-League before NBA return

It's been a slow climb back from wrist and ankle injuries for Minnesota Timberwolves center Nikola Pekovic.
But coach Flip Saunders said Friday that Pekovic began running on an anti-gravity treadmill, and he will likely see D-League action before coming back to the Wolves.
Saunders added that Ricky Rubio will not see minor league action because, unlike Pekovic, the point guard's injury is not chronic.
