Carmelo Anthony on left knee: 'It's soreness, it's weakness, it's fatigue'
Carmelo Anthony's troublesome left knee is but one storyline in a horrific New York Knicks' season, and there's been much debate as to whether the scorer should shut things down for an extended period.
The New York Post's Marc Berman wrote Tuesday that, while Anthony admits there may come a time where it won't be worth it to play out the season, he's not there yet.
"We got a little more than half the season left," said Anthony, whose Knicks are 5-28 going into New Year's Eve against the Los Angeles Clippers - a game Anthony is expected to play in after leaving at halftime of Sunday's game against Portland.
Anthony added that there is a big difference between his current knee issue and one suffered two seasons ago, after which he had a procedure to drain swelling in the same knee.
"It was simple, stick a needle in there," Anthony added. "This is totally different. There's a different feeling. It's soreness, it's weakness, it's fatigue."
