Report: Warriors' Speights had gun pulled on him outside San Francisco club
Golden State Warriors center Marreese Speights reportedly had a gun pulled on him in a robbery attempt Monday, according to KTVU.
Speights was unharmed in the incident, which allegedly occurred outside Cellar Nightclub on Sutter Street in downtown San Francisco. The report said Speights was in a parking lot across the street from the club when a convicted felon pulled a gun on him.
KTVU said police sources indicated a group of gang members tried to rob Speights of his gold chains before the 6-foot-10 Florida native ran away from the scene.
Police arrested the alleged gunman and have identified him as Michael Lamont Jackson, 28, of San Francisco.
Speights played in the Warriors' win later that night. He's averaging a career-high 12.6 points on 53.3 percent shooting from the field, while hauling in 5.2 rebounds in a reserve role with Golden State.
