John Wall playing through sore Achilles on Tuesday

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

At least there will be one star player actually playing in Hollywood on Tuesday.

With Kobe Bryant and Paul Pierce - OK, and Nick Young, too - sidelined, it's up to All-Star John Wall to carry the entertainment load as his Washington Wizards take on the Los Angeles Lakers

Wall will play after being listed as questionable earlier in the day due to a sore Achilles. He's yet to miss a game this season and hasn't missed an outing since Jan. 7, 2013, an impressive run of durability now at 177 regular-season games.

Wall's consistent presence in the lineup is a good thing for the Wizards, as he's emerged as perhaps the best guard in the Eastern Conference this season.

The Wizards are an unfathomable 15.3 points per 100 possessions better when Wall's on the floor than when he sits, and the team's attacking offense and elite corner 3-point shooting would struggle a great deal without him.

In 45 games, Wall is averaging 17.2 points, 10.2 assists, 4.2 rebounds and two steals. Good luck, Jordan Clarkson.
