Wade out indefinitely, says 'I won't be seeing y'all for a while'
Not long after the Miami Heat ruled shooting guard Dwyane Wade out Friday against the Dallas Mavericks, Wade ruled himself out for the foreseeable future, as reported by Joseph Goodman of the Miami Herald.
Wade told media after Thursday's practice that he will take some time for his strained right hamstring to heal. In November, Wade missed seven games with a strained left hamstring.
I won't be seeing y’all for a little while, so take a good look at this face.
Wade said "a while" means a best-case of two to three weeks. Therefore, it is likely that Wade will miss the All-Star Game if he is to be selected as a reserve.
It is the 33-year-old Wade's third leg injury of this season. A player with a self-described lot of miles on his body, the 12th-year superstar has missed 67 games the last four seasons.
On Wednesday, Wade's teammate Chris Bosh seemed frustrated by the latest injury.
"The most disappointing thing is we're not even having a chance to be at full strength, to even see what we could do," Bosh told Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel.
