Carter-Williams out again for Sixers on Monday
A toe injury will sideline Michael Carter-Williams for a third consecutive game when the Philadelphia 76ers take on the Golden State Warriors on Monday.
Carter-Williams also missed Friday's loss to the Boston Celtics and a Saturday night victory over the Charlotte Hornets.
The 23-year-old, who missed time earlier this season recovering from offseason shoulder surgery, is averaging 15 points, 7.4 assists, 6.2 rebounds and 1.5 steals through 41 games played.
Carter-Williams remains a poor shooting, turnover-prone guard, but his length and defensive ability on the perimeter have been key for a 76ers team that ranks in the top-10 in defensive efficiency since the calendar flipped to 2015.
The 12-40 Sixers are 1-10 without their starting point guard and have performed 4.1 points per 100 possessions better with Carter-Williams on the court as opposed to on the bench, according to Basketball Reference.
