Report: Pistons to sign Quincy Miller to 10-day contract
With a flurry of activity ahead of Thursday's trade deadline, the Detroit Pistons reduced their roster to just 12 healthy players.
In order to shore up their depleted reserves, the Pistons will sign forward Quincy Miller to a 10-day contract, according to David Mayo of MLive.com.
Miller is coming off successive 10-day deals with the Sacramento Kings, who opted not to follow up those contracts with an offer for the remainder of the season.
In six games with the Kings, Miller averaged 2.8 points and 2.0 rebounds while shooting a putrid 22.2 percent from the field and 14.3 percent from deep. He also spent parts of the last two seasons with the Denver Nuggets - who drafted him 38th overall in 2012 - averaging 4.5 points and 2.5 boards.
Miller has torn it up with the Kings' D-League affiliate, the Reno Bighorns, averaging 25.3 points, 7.6 rebounds and 3.6 blocks in 15 games.
