Report: Thomas Robinson drawing interest from Heat, 4 other teams
Thomas Robinson has been pinballed around the NBA his brief career, already playing for three teams since being drafted fifth overall in 2012.
That number will hit four once the 23-year-old power forward finalizes a buyout agreement with the Denver Nuggets, to whom he was dealt from the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday.
According to RealGM's Shams Charania, that agreement will be finalized on Sunday, and at least five teams have already had discussions with Robinson about signing him once the buyout is complete.
Those teams: The San Antonio Spurs, Phoenix Suns, Brooklyn Nets, Miami Heat and Charlotte Hornets.
Considering that Robinson requested the buyout from the Nuggets mainly because he was seeking a larger role, the Heat - who just lost Chris Bosh for the remainder of the season - would seem to be the most logical landing spot.
In 32 games with the Blazers this season, Robinson averaged a career-low 12.2 minutes, which contributed to career-low averages of 3.6 points and 4.2 rebounds.
