Suns' Knight helped off the floor after suffering sprained left ankle

Phoenix point guard Brandon Knight was helped off the floor Monday night against the Golden State Warriors after he landed awkwardly on a drive to the hoop, his left ankle taking most of the damage.
Knight was in obvious pain on the floor, clutching his ankle, then turning over on his stomach and slamming the floor with his right hand in agony. He's been diagnosed with a sprained left ankle and won't return to the game, the club announced.
Knight had 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting, adding a rebound and a steal.

The 23-year-old is averaging 14.6 points, five assists and 2.2 assists in nine games and eight starts with the Suns since being acquired at the trade deadline. He went into Monday night shooting only 36.3 percent with his new team.
