Lakers' Nick Young to have CT scan on ailing knee
Los Angeles Lakers swingman Nick Young has missed the team's last nine games and is set to be out at least a little longer.
Young will undergo a CT scan on his sore left knee Monday and is out for Sunday's contest versus the Atlanta Hawks. He won't accompany the Lakers for their upcoming road game against the Golden State Warriors, either.
The swelling in his knee, which has kept him out since Feb. 25, hasn't improved much, prompting further evaluation.
It's been a disappointing season for Young, who had made more noise off the court for his beefs with dolphins and ESPN anchors than he has on it. Lakers head coach Byron Scott was recently blunt regarding his assessment of Young's play, telling reporters the 29-year-old isn't having a very good season, his second in Los Angeles.
Young's averaging 13.4 points on a career-low 36.6 percent shooting from the field in 42 games for the 17-47 Lakers.
