Bucks' Dudley: Players don't want to play with Kobe, Melo is most overrated
Through eight seasons in the NBA, Jared Dudley has learned a thing or two about the game's most prominent stars, and the veteran forward doesn't hold back when it comes to dishing on those big names.
Dudley was a guest on Wednesday's edition of The Herd with Colin Cowherd, where he explained why he believes Kevin Love should stay in Cleveland with "the most unselfish superstar we know," why Zach Randolph is the most underrated player in the league, and how James Harden has improved his two-way game.
As for his shade-throwing, that was reserved for Kobe Bryant, who Dudley says players don't want to play with, and Carmelo Anthony, who he calls the Association's most overrated player.
Dudley isn't the first observer to make that point about Anthony, but it's rare to hear such a candid criticism from a fellow player.
Melo is often grouped in with the league's absolute best, particularly as a scorer, despite the fact that he hasn't scored nearly as efficiently as other high-usage superstars like LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Dirk Nowitzki, Stephen Curry, and Harden, to name a few.
