Report: Caron Butler drawing interest from Bulls, Spurs, Lakers, Clippers, Knicks
Caron Butler's finger phone is busy these days.
Butler is expected to become a free agent, and will draw interest from the San Antonio Spurs, New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers, reports Shams Charania of RealGM.
The Detroit Pistons traded Butler to the Milwaukee Bucks last week in a deal for Ersan Ilyasova. Butler's deal is non-guaranteed and is expected to be waived.
The 35-year-old is coming off a miserable season in Detroit, in which he averaged 5.9 points and 2.5 rebounds in 20.8 minutes per game. He shot just 40.7 percent from the field, although he maintained a respectable 37.9 percent mark from deep.
This late into his career, Butler is likely to receive no more than a supporting role on a veteran's minimum deal with a contender.
