Shaq to DJ a 'special Trap set' at EDM festival in September
Call him Shaqex, Dieselplo, or The Big Aviciistotle.
Former NBA superstar and current TNT analyst Shaquille O'Neal is set to spin a special set at an Atlanta-area electronic dance music festival in September. Working the ones and twos under the name DJ Diesel, Shaq will participate at TomorrowWorld from Sept. 25-27.
His set is being trumpeted as "a special Trap set, potentially infusing some local-influence hip-hop and O'Neal's own rapping career into the proceedings."
O'Neal also spent time as a DJ in Las Vegas back in June, and based on the hour-long mix that Shaq allegedly curated to promote the event, his skills are in fine form. It's probably more publicity stunt or fun sideshow than major EDM prospect, but this is a man with many, many talents. Who are you to doubt DJ Diesel?
