Davis dropped 44 points in a game in L.A.'s famed summer Drew League two weeks ago, but it's a long way from what's basically playground ball back to the NBA. The 36-year-old last played for the New York Knicks in 2012. It's not known whether he's already been in contact with teams.
The Los Angeles native was already moonlighting as a Hollywood producer when he was still playing, and has continued since his retirement. He even presented his acting chops in the new release "Joe Dirt 2," which currently has a 0 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Davis averaged 16.1 points and 7.2 assists over 13 NBA seasons.
