Steph Curry says matching up vs. brother Seth 'would be a dream come true'
Seth Curry was one of the surprise success stories of the Las Vegas Summer League, leading the league in scoring and earning himself a reported two-year, $2-million deal with the Sacramento Kings.
His first non-10-day NBA contract could see him matched up against his older brother, Golden State Warriors point guard and league MVP Steph Curry, in the not-too-distant future.
Nobody is more excited about that prospect than Steph.
"There's already a group text message going on in our family for the first time that we play each other, which I think is November 7th in Sacramento," Steph told Dan Patrick on Wednesday.
"We're probably going to have 50, 60 family members try to come out to the game. It's gonna be a lot of fun, but I'm already talking trash in the text message. I think we're going to win by double-digits, and I hope to have a couple one-on-one scenarios with Seth out on the floor. That would be a dream come true."
Seth played just four games and 21 total minutes with three NBA teams in the last two seasons, but his standout summer league performance and first-team All-D-League showing last year suggest he may have some staying power at the next level.
He certainly seems to have inherited the Curry shooting gene. Seth shot 46.7 percent from 3-point range with the D-League's Erie BayHawks last season, and before that, he shot 42 percent from deep across three collegiate seasons at Duke.
