VIDEO: Lakers' Nance Jr. submits early entry for dunk of the year

The 2015-16 regular season hasn't even begun, but that hasn't deterred Los Angeles Lakers rookie Larry Nance Jr. from entering the running for dunk of the year.

Nance used Saturday's preseason matchup against the reigning champion Golden State Warriors as a springboard - figuratively and literally - to display his impressive leaping abilities.

Nance's father won the NBA's first-ever Slam Dunk Contest.

Go figure.
