Bosh's agent: 'Too soon' for blood clot talk amid reports of health concerns
Amid reports the Miami Heat are concerned about a serious health issue affecting Chris Bosh, the 11-time All-Star's agent told the Miami Herald it's "too soon" to report that Bosh has been diagnosed with a blood clot in his calf.
Bosh, who dealt with season-ending and life-threatening blood clots in his lungs last year, pulled out of this past weekend's All-Star Game following Friday's Media Day, due to a strained calf.
On Monday, The Associated Press reported Bosh will meet with doctors this week, looking to find a way to continue the season despite another blood-clot scare. Citing a person with knowledge of the situation, the AP reported Bosh will spend the coming days reviewing his options.
The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski, meanwhile, reported that Bosh met with Heat doctors on Monday and that there was more optimism about the big man's condition than their was during All-Star weekend.
It was also around the All-Star break last year when Bosh was first diagnosed with blood clots after missing games earlier in the 2014-15 season with a calf injury.
Bosh spoke glowingly Friday about his excitement to play in Sunday's All-Star Game in Toronto, where he spent the first seven years of his career.
The 31-year-old's in the midst of another stellar season, averaging 19.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists on roughly a 47-37-80 shooting line for the Heat, who sit fifth in the Eastern Conference at 29-24.
