LeBron on approach with Cavs: 'I just need to do more'
For a team that's 10-4 in its last 14 games, and for a player shooting over 54 percent and averaging 26 points per contest in that time, the Cleveland Cavaliers and LeBron James have experienced their fair share of turmoil lately.
Thursday's 104-95 loss to the pitiful Brooklyn Nets was ugly, and James said afterwards his recent discussions with general manager David Griffin and head coach Tyronn Lue regarding his perceived behavior have led him to one conclusion: He has to step up even further.
"I just need to do more," James told reporters after the Brooklyn loss. "Just need to do more, and I have been able to do that, except for tonight, for the most part."
James scored 30 points on 16 shots Thursday, but was held scoreless in the fourth quarter as the Nets won the game on the strength of a 14-3 run.

Lue said James was receptive to his criticism over his fraternizing with his former Miami Heat teammate Dwyane Wade at halftime of their game last week, which came at the expense of warming up with his Cavaliers teammates.
"I just told him we can't have that, being down like we were and him being the leader," Lue said.
James' puzzling behavior on social media recently has also created backlash which is believed to have been a factor in Griffin admonishing him. While James and the Cavs are no longer the central occupying topic of the NBA, the superstar is acutely aware of the microscope he plays under. Last season he extricated himself from media distractions during the playoffs, something he is expected to do again.
