Premier 2024 quarterback prospect Jayden Daniels honored his former LSU teammate Greg Brooks Jr., who was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer last year, by donning his name and number at his pro day Wednesday.

"He's thinking outside of just Jayden Daniels," LSU head coach Brian Kelly said, according to Katherine Terrell of ESPN. "He's thinking about one of his teammates that he holds in high regard. And that's the way he's been since he's gotten here."

Brooks underwent surgery to remove a brain tumor in September. He was subsequently diagnosed with medulloblastoma and underwent another surgery in October.

"Obviously, if Greg were here, he'd be a part of this. He's not here, but he's here in spirit, and I'm here to rep him," Daniels said.

Daniels, who didn't work out at the combine, attracted a big crowd Wednesday with all 32 NFL teams in attendance. He officially measured at slightly over 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds.

The New England Patriots, Washington Commanders, Minnesota Vikings, Las Vegas Raiders, and New York Giants were all slated to meet with Daniels after his pro day, his agent told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler via Terrell.
