Alabama adds Nick Saban impersonator to coaching staff
Rob Ezell didn't play too much in his time with Alabama, but he made himself unforgettable nonetheless.
The former walk-on quarterback for the Crimson Tide has been hired to Nick Saban's support staff after spending two years as a graduate assistant for Jim McElwain's staff at Colorado State, according to AL.com's Michael Casagrande.
Ezell isn't known for his arm or his game, he's known for his flashy personality, specifically the time he nailed an impression of Saban on ESPN.
Hilarious. But impersonation's aside, Ezell also has a knack for coaching, given his innate ability to identify and connect with his players.
"I think he has the makeup for it," McElwain said in a 2013 interview. "I think he's going to be successful the way he's able to translate and teach. I think that's what it's all about.
"He has a chance to be a great teacher."
