Top Options
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Eugenio Suarez (CIN) | vs. COL | 9 |
Manny Machado (BAL) | vs. TOR | 9 |
Nolan Arenado (COL) | at CIN | 8 |
Josh Donaldson (TOR) | at BAL | 8 |
Suarez has been red-hot to start the season. He sports a .283 average against lefties for his young career and has three homers and seven RBI against southpaws this season. With Rockies' LHP Jorge De La Rosa heading to the mound, a big day could be in the cards.
Pay up for Machado, Arenado and Donaldson - with all three of them producing great fantasy value throughout the first two weeks.

Mid-Tier Targets
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Nick Castellanos (DET) | at KC | 7 |
Matt Carpenter (STL) | vs. CHC | 7 |
Evan Longoria (TB) | at BOS | 7 |
Matt Duffy (SF) | vs. ARI | 7 |
Mike Moustakas (KC) | vs. DET | 7 |
Jake Lamb (ARI) | at SF | 7 |
Though Royals' ace and RHP Yordano Ventura takes the mound on Tuesday, Castellanos is sporting a terrific .920 OPS and is among the more consistent options at third base. Given that he hits righties well, he's definitely worth rostering. Carpenter has accounted for 11 RBI and eight runs scored over the Cardinals' last eight games.

NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Maikel Franco (PHI) | vs. NYM | 6 |
Todd Frazier (CWS) | vs. LAA | 6 |
Adrian Beltre (TEX) | vs. HOU | 6 |
Adonis Garcia (ATL) | vs. LAD | 6 |
Justin Turner (LAD) | at ATL | 6 |
Anthony Rendon (WAS) | at MIA | 6 |
Franco hits in the heart of the Phillies order and has consistently reached base through his first 12 games, owning a .327 OBP.
Though Rendon is hitting for a fair average, he has only produced one RBI.
Normally batting cleanup, there will be plenty of opportunities for Turner to go yard Tuesday night against Atlanta's Julio Teheran, who has already conceded 12 earned runs through his first three starts.

NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Travis Shaw (BOS) | vs. TB | 5 |
Danny Valencia (OAK) | at NYY | 5 |
Chase Headley (NYY) | vs. OAK | 5 |
Martin Prado (MIA) | vs. WAS | 5 |
With just two RBI, Headley has been a fantasy disaster to start the season and should be limited to tournaments due to a relatively high cost.
Prado doesn't bring much home run upside to the plate, but at an affordable cost and four game hit-streak, use him as a solid buy-low option.

Nothing to See Here
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Kyle Seager (SEA) | at CLE | 4 |
Juan Uribe (CLE) | vs. SEA | 3 |
David Freese (PIT) | at SD | 3 |
Alex Rodriguez (NYY) | vs. OAK | 3 |
Aaron Hill (MIL) | at MIN | 3 |
Seager is hitless in his last 13 at bats but has an extremely high floor. Like Headley, Rodriguez has struggled in the batters box to start the season and should be left alone until he hits for a better average than .118.
