On a night where the Flyers and their fans paid tribute to late owner Ed Snider, some in the crowd expressed frustration over a slew of penalties called against the home team by throwing commemorative wristbands onto the ice, prompting this announcement:
That pleading failed.
As a last-ditch effort, Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin and Flyers forward Wayne Simmonds teamed up, asking fans to knock it off, but to no avail.
The Flyers were assessed a delay of game penalty shortly thereafter.
