Sunday's Outfielder Value Rankings
Here are theScore's outfielder value rankings for Sunday, April 24:
Value Rankings

Top Options
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Bryce Harper (WAS) | vs. MIN | 9 |
Curtis Granderson (NYM) | at ATL | 8 |
Mark Trumbo (BAL) | at KC | 8 |
Mookie Betts (BOS) | at HOU | 8 |
Harper has big-game potential in a matchup against the inexperienced Tyler Duffey. The Minnesota starter has just 10 MLB starts to his name and will surely be fearful of Harper's bat.
Granderson has seemingly turned his awful start around. He's hit three homers, scored five times, and driven in seven through his last four games.
Betts was on an absolute tear going 8-for-14 in a three-game span up until Saturday. His 1-for-5 performance Saturday didn't quite fall in line with that hot-streak, but it extended his hit-streak to four games.

Mid-Tier Targets
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Carlos Gonzalez (COL) | vs. LAD | 7 |
Starling Marte (PIT) | at ARI | 7 |
Melky Cabrera (CWS) | vs. TEX | 7 |
Yasiel Puig (LAD) | at COL | 7 |
Nomar Mazara (TEX) | at CWS | 7 |
Kris Bryant (CHC) | at CIN | 7 |
Matt Kemp (SD) | vs. STL | 6 |
Ryan Braun (MIL) | vs. PHI | 6 |
Andrew McCutchen (PIT) | at ARI | 6 |
Billy Burns (OAK) | at TOR | 6 |
Jay Bruce (CIN) | vs. CHC | 6 |
Miguel Sano (MIN) | at WAS | 6 |
Nelson Cruz (SEA) | at LAA | 6 |
Mike Trout (LAA) | vs. SEA | 6 |
Giancarlo Stanton (MIA) | at SF | 6 |
Colby Rasmus (HOU) | vs. BOS | 6 |
Rajai Davis (CLE) | at DET | 6 |
Marte and McCutchen make for a nice game cash game stack as the quality offenses of Pittsburgh and Arizona go head-to-head in a hitter-friendly ball park.
'The Melk Man' has two homers in his last three games and is hitting over .300 for the season. At a bargain price, his recent play is tempting.
Kemp has five homers on the season and will get a favorable matchup against Mike Leake's career 13.6 percent HR/FB number. However, Kemp has struggled mightily against RHP's this year going 8-for-44.
Stanton gets a favorable matchup against Matt Cain who has posted a HR/FB ratio over 10% three years running. The Miami slugger, however, is batting just .208 on the season and AT&T Park is no place to go deep.

Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
George Springer (HOU) | vs. BOS | 5 |
Jose Bautista (TOR) | vs. OAK | 5 |
Christian Yelich (MIA) | at SF | 5 |
Lorenzo Cain (KC) | vs. BAL | 5 |
Denard Span (SF) | vs. MIA | 5 |
Michael Saunders (TOR) | vs. OAK | 5 |
Joc Pederson (LAD) | at COL | 5 |
Jason Heyward (CHC) | at CIN | 5 |
Jayson Werth (WAS) | vs. MIN | 5 |
Jacoby Ellsbury (NYY) | vs. TB | 5 |
Kole Calhoun (LAA) | vs. SEA | 5 |
Hunter Pence (SF) | vs. MIA | 5 |
Jarrod Dyson (KC) | vs. BAL | 5 |
Justin Upton (DET) | vs. CLE | 5 |
Delino DeShields (TEX) | at CWS | 5 |
Brock Holt (BOS) | at HOU | 5 |
Springer had a three-game span in which he launched three homers that quickly covered up his poor start. Since then, he has just one extra-base hit in four games. DFS players should continue to wait it out with Springer before rostering him.
Upton is batting a meager .217 and has just one homer and three RBI on the season. Though the Tigers have a strong lineup on paper, they have yet to truly put it to use.

Evan Gattis (HOU) | vs. BOS | 3 |
Steven Souza (TB) | at NYY | 3 |
Yoenis Cespedes (NYM) | at ATL | 2 |
Kendrick's salary is drastically inflated due to playing at Coors Field. His .161 average and total lack of extra-base hits should deter you enough anyways.
Do not expect Cespedes to play Sunday after sitting Saturday as he deals with a leg injury.
