Top Options

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Victor Martinez (DET) at MIN 9
Miguel Cabrera (DET) at MIN 8
Anthony Rizzo (CHC) vs. ATL 8
Freddie Freeman (ATL) vs. CHC 8

Martinez has been crushing the ball lately with five multi-hit games and three homers in his last seven games. His high price tag still comes in below some other notable names. Roster him in cash or tournament games.

Cabrera has seemingly turned around with hits in six straight games. However, his salary is back in the top-tier so DFS players will have to decide how ready they are to jump back on the Miggy bandwagon.

Freeman is batting .341 in his last ten and is clearly showing signs of the player he truly is. However, the lack of talent around him will always hinder his value.

Mid-Tier Targets

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Eric Hosmer (KC) at SEA 7
Paul Goldschmidt (ARI) vs. COL 7
David Ortiz (BOS) vs. NYY 7
Adrian Gonzalez (LAD) vs. SD 6
Hanley Ramirez (BOS) vs. NYY 6
Byung Ho Park (MIN) vs. DET 6
Mark Reynolds (COL) at ARI 6
Edwin Encarnacion (TOR) at TB 6
Chris Carter (MIL) vs. MIA 6

Hosmer has a hit in 18 straight games which has led him to sport a .341 batting average. He is a great cash game play with form like that.

Gonzalez has gone hitless in his last six games after a strong stretch of play. But as left-handed batter at Dodger Stadium, he always has the advantage when playing at home. Use him in tournament play against SP Julio Teheran.

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Mitch Moreland (TEX) vs. LAA 5
Carlos Santana (CLE) at PHI 5
Mark Teixeira (NYY) at BOS 5
Ryan Howard (PHI) vs. CLE 5
Jose Abreu (CWS) at BAL 5
John Jaso (PIT) vs. CIN 5
Joe Mauer (MIN) vs. DET 5
Brandon Belt (SF) at NYM 4
Lucas Duda (NYM) vs. SF 4
Tyler White (HOU) at OAK 4
Alex Rodriguez (NYY) at BOS 4
Matt Holliday (STL) vs. WAS 4
Ryan Zimmerman (WAS) at STL 4
Albert Pujols (LAA) at TEX 4
Joey Votto (CIN) at PIT 4
Prince Fielder (TEX) vs. LAA 4
Justin Bour (MIA) vs. MIL 4
Mark Canha (OAK) vs. HOU 4

Abreu has been disappointing this year with just three homers through 24 games. He has none in his last 10 games.

Pujols, Votto, and Fielder have all struggled this year. Fade them until they show some consistent power.

Nothing to See Here

NAME OPPONENT VALUE
Steve Pearce (TB) vs. TOR 3
Adam Lind (SEA) vs. KC 3
Wil Myers (SD) at LAD 3
Kendrys Morales (KC) at SEA 3
Chris Davis (BAL) vs. CWS 3
Logan Morrison (TB) vs. TOR 3
Yonder Alonso (OAK) vs. HOU 3
Pedro Alvarez (BAL) vs. CWS 3
C.J. Cron (LAA) at TEX 3
Billy Butler (OAK) vs. HOU 3
Josh Thole (TOR) at TB 3

Davis' price won't get much lower than it is enterting Sunday. But with a .236 career average against lefties and the White Sox rolling out LHP Chris Sale, there is little reason to roster Davis.
