Top Options
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Jonathan Lucroy (MIL) | vs. LAA | 10 |
Chris Iannetta (SEA) | at OAK | 9 |
Stephen Vogt (OAK) | vs. SEA | 9 |
Buster Posey (SF) | at CIN | 9 |
Yan Gomes (CLE) | vs. DET | 8 |
Lucroy's daily fantasy price remains insultingly low on most DFS sites despite his status as one of the best offensive catchers in the game. He has gone deep just once this season, but he's hitting .309 with a .371 OBP. He'll face Angels lefty Hector Santiago on Wednesday, and Lucroy's career OPS vs. LHP (.832) eclipses his OPS vs. RHP (.750).
Expect a big day out of the low-priced Iannetta on Wednesday against LHP Sean Manaea. Manaea made his big league debut last week against the Astros, where he struggled mightily with his command, allowing four runs and issuing four free passes in just five innings. Iannetta is an incredibly patient hitter, and has a .388 OBP against LHP in his career despite a .257 average. He's a suitable option in all formats.
Mid-Tier Targets
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Yadier Molina (STL) | vs. PHI | 7 |
Brian McCann (NYY) | at BAL | 7 |
Wilson Ramos (WAS) | at KC | 7 |
Yasmani Grandal (LAD) | at TB | 6 |
Dioner Navarro (CWS) | vs. BOS | 6 |
J.T. Realmuto (MIA) | vs. ARI | 6 |
Nick Hundley (COL) | at SD | 5 |
Jarrod Saltalamacchia (DET) | at CLE | 5 |
Welington Castillo (ARI) | at MIA | 5 |
Realmuto is hitting leadoff for the Marlins on Tuesday. If he hits at the top of the order again on Wednesday, he has immense value as a catcher. However, he'll be facing RHP Rubby De La Rosa on Wednesday, and Realmuto has hit much better against lefties in his career.
Nothing to See Here
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Francisco Cervelli (PIT) | vs. CHC | 4 |
Christian Vazquez (BOS) | at CWS | 4 |
Salvador Perez (KC) | vs. WAS | 4 |
Derek Norris (SD) | vs. COL | 3 |
Jason Castro (HOU) | vs. MIN | 3 |
Curt Casali (TB) | vs. LAD | 3 |
Matt Wieters (BAL) | vs. NYY | 2 |
Russell Martin (TOR) | vs. TEX | 2 |
Wieters has struck out nine times and recorded just six hits in 36 at-bats against CC Sabathia in his career. Sabathia's best days are obviously behind him, but Wieters still isn't worth drafting in cash games.
Heading into Tuesday, Martin has just nine base hits on the season. Don't invest in his still hefty salary until he turns it on.
