Top Options
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Derek Dietrich (MIA) | vs. ARI | 10 |
Dustin Pedroia (BOS) | at CWS | 9 |
Logan Forsythe (TB) | vs. LAD | 9 |
Daniel Murphy (WAS) | at KC | 9 |
Neil Walker (NYM) | vs. ATL | 9 |
Jose Altuve (HOU) | vs. MIN | 8 |
Dietrich has immense value as Miami's new primary second baseman and leadoff hitter against right-handed pitching. In his young career, Dietrich has a solid .338 OBP and an impressive .794 OPS against RHP. Arizona's SP Rubby De La Rosa is mediocre at best.
Forsythe is proving his career year in 2015 was no fluke. He has an OBP of .418 so far and hit 10 of his 17 homers against left-handers a season ago. Alex Wood would be smart to pitch around the only potent bat in Tampa's lineup (sorry Evan Longoria). His high OBP makes him perfect for cash games.
Mid-Tier Targets
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Ben Zobrist (CHC) | at PIT | 7 |
Josh Harrison (PIT) | vs. CHC | 7 |
Starlin Castro (NYY) | at BAL | 6 |
Brandon Phillips (CIN) | vs. SF | 6 |
Jedd Gyorko (STL) | vs. PHI | 6 |
Rougned Odor (TEX) | at TOR | 5 |
Brian Dozier (MIN) | at HOU | 5 |
Ian Kinsler (DET) | at CLE | 5 |
Howie Kendrick (LAD) | at TB | 5 |
Ever since Zobrist was moved down in the order on April 19, he is hitting .303/.467/.424. Trust that this success will continue against against Juan Nicasio, who frankly, is lucky to have a job in a starting rotation. Zobrist is ideal for cash games thanks to his high OBP.
Nothing to See Here
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
DJ LeMahieu (COL) | at SD | 4 |
Robinson Cano (SEA) | at OAK | 4 |
Brett Lawrie (CWS) | vs. BOS | 4 |
Jason Kipnis (CLE) | vs. DET | 3 |
Johnny Giavotella (LAA) | at MIL | 2 |
Kolten Wong (STL) | vs. PHI | 2 |
Even though Oakland starter Sean Manaea struggled in his big league debut, it's best to fade Cano and his expensive price against the lefty. Cano's OPS against lefties (.773) is over 100 points lower than his OPS against righties (.890) in his career.
