NBPA says it reached out to Heat regarding Bosh's health issues

Chris Bosh hasn't suited up for the Miami Heat since prior to the All-Star break, and with the team set to battle his former team in the Toronto Raptors in the second round of the playoffs, the two-time champion is aching to get back on the floor.

Heat management, however, has been reluctant to let him play due to fear of future complications with his health and potential re-emerging blood clots. This has reportedly created tension behind closed doors, with Bosh's family trying to reach out to the National Basketball Players Association for assistance.

The NBPA released a statement on the matter Tuesday:

Our top priority is Chris' health and well-being. We have spoken with Chris and his agent, and have reached out to the Miami Heat. We are hopeful that all parties involved can meet as soon as possible to resolve the situation.

Game 1 between the Heat and Raptors goes down Tuesday night at the Air Canada Centre. Bosh will be in attendance, although he didn't travel with the team and wasn't present at shootaround.
