There's nothing quite like a good, old-fashioned pitch invasion.

On Saturday, in a Championship fixture that was valued at £170 million as the winner was guaranteed a place in the Premier League, Middlesbrough played out a 1-1 draw versus Brighton & Hove Albion at Riverside Stadium, securing its return to the top flight of English football thanks to a greater goal difference.

It's been seven years since Boro was last in the Premier League. After the club's supporters were made to wait on promotion for eight nail-biting minutes due to second-half stoppage time, its return to the promised land was greeted with a joyous pitch invasion in which Grant Leadbitter and others were lifted up on the fans' shoulders.

Supporters also chanted the name of Steve Gibson, Boro's chairman, as he looked on from the stands with tears in his eyes.
