Tuesday's Outfielder Value Rankings
Here are theScore's outfielder value rankings for Tuesday, May 10 (all stats exclude Monday's games):

Top Options
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Brandon Drury (ARI) | at COL | 9 |
Hunter Pence (SF) | vs. TOR | 9 |
Andrew McCutchen (PIT) | at CIN | 8 |
Gregory Polanco (PIT) | at CIN | 8 |
Starling Marte (PIT) | at CIN | 8 |
With Diamondbacks OF David Peralta unlikely to play Tuesday, Drury will likely man left field and bat second. He has six homers and 13 RBI in 27 games played thus far, so a trip to Coors Field gives him a vast amount of value.
The Pirates' trio of outfielders are the lifeblood of the team, and have the best chance to return an excess amount of value against the dreadful pitching of Reds' Alfredo Simon. They won't come cheap, but all three should at least return their respective salary.
Mid-Tier Targets
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Giancarlo Stanton (MIA) | vs. MIL | 7 |
Bryce Harper (WAS) | vs. DET | 7 |
Michael Conforto (NYM) | at LAD | 7 |
Nick Markakis (ATL) | vs. PHI | 7 |
Mike Trout (LAA) | vs. STL | 7 |
Ben Revere (WAS) | vs. DET | 7 |
Carlos Gonzalez (COL) | vs. ARI | 7 |
Josh Reddick (OAK) | at BOS | 7 |
Christian Yelich (MIA) | vs. MIL | 7 |
Charlie Blackmon (COL) | vs. ARI | 7 |
This slate is filled with stars that are ranked lower than usual due to cheaper options with more favorable matchups. Stanton, Harper and Trout are more than capable of breaking out in a game and can be rostered safely in cash games.
Markakis continues to hit leadoff for the offensively-starved Braves. He is the owner of a tremendous .395 OBP and 20 RBIs. Markakis' most recent performance saw him go 3-for-5 with one run scored. His price point remains low because of Atlanta's bottom-feeding offense, but he continues to offer plenty of production and DFS cap relief.
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Yoenis Cespedes (NYM) | at LAD | 6 |
Ryan Raburn (COL) | vs. ARI | 6 |
Mark Trumbo (BAL) | at MIN | 6 |
Billy Hamilton (CIN) | at PIT | 6 |
Marcell Ozuna (MIA) | vs. MIL | 6 |
Dexter Fowler (CHC) | vs. SD | 6 |
Matt Kemp (SD) | at CHC | 6 |
Billy Burns (OAK) | at BOS | 6 |
Michael Saunders (TOR) | at SF | 6 |
Hamilton's .603 OPS spikes drastically to .872 when facing southpaws this season. He doesn't have much home run power, but was one of the best base stealers last season and has swiped seven already. His low-cost is worth rostering.
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Jose Bautista (TOR) | at SF | 5 |
Adam Eaton (CWS) | at TEX | 5 |
George Springer (HOU) | vs. CLE | 5 |
JD Martinez (DET) | at WAS | 5 |
Brock Holt (BOS) | vs. OAK | 5 |
Melky Cabrera (CWS) | at TEX | 5 |
Jeremy Hazelbaker (STL) | at LAA | 5 |
Nelson Cruz (SEA) | vs. TB | 5 |
Kevin Pillar (TOR) | at SF | 5 |
Leading the AL with 25 walks, it's fair to say Bautista has took his fair share of pitches. He's getting on base, which is terrific, but his atrocious .211 average suggest you leave him as a contrarian.
Though Cruz is back in the lineup, he has been nursing a bruised forearm. It's best to limit him to tournaments if at all.
Eaton has plenty of value on Tuesday night in Texas, but with a lefty-lefty matchup, he might be capped and fail to return value. Nonetheless, his floor is high and has two multi-hit games in his last four.
Nothing to See Here
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Jay Bruce (CIN) | vs. PIT | 4 |
Michael Brantley (CLE) | at HOU | 4 |
Lorenzo Cain (KC) | at NYY | 3 |
Jason Heyward (CHC) | vs. SD | 3 |
Carlos Gomez (HOU) | vs. CLE | 3 |
Curtis Granderson (NYM) | at LAD | 3 |
Justin Upton (DET) | at WAS | 3 |
Ian Desmond (TEX) | vs. CWS | 3 |
Failing to record a homer in 10 games back, Brantley is hitting an acceptable .257 with seven RBIs, but his price point is far too much of a risk to roster. He will heat up, but for now, leave him alone.
