Top Options
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Nelson Cruz (SEA) | at BAL | 9 |
Khris Davis (OAK) | vs. NYY | 8 |
Gregory Polanco (PIT) | vs. ATL | 8 |
Cruz has one of the highest-floors on this slate and plenty of pop in his bat. He has been manning the DH spot for the Mariners while they visit the hitter-friendly Oriole Park at Camden Yards. On Tuesday, the slugger went 3-for-3 with one dinger and five RBIs. As a RHH who hits for power against right-handed pitching, he should rock around the Orioles' inexperienced righty Tyler Wilson.
Three bombs in one game can do wonders for your fantasy value, and Tuesday night, Davis put his name atop the DFS radar. Though he's only batting .228, DFS owners should look passed his uninspiring average on Thursday and roster his middling salary and prime position in the Athletics hot batting order.
Polanco is excelling without teammate Starling Marte in the lineup and is 6-for-10 with five runs plated. In his most recent game, the three hits he registered Tuesday were all doubles. With righty Mike Foltynewicz set to toe the rubber for the Braves, another multi-hit game for Polanco can't be ruled out.
Mid-Tier Targets
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Andrew McCutchen (PIT) | vs. ATL | 7 |
Dexter Fowler (CHC) | at MIL | 7 |
Josh Reddick (OAK) | vs. NYY | 7 |
Stephen Piscotty (STL) | vs. COL | 7 |
Mike Trout (LAA) | vs. LAD | 7 |
Kris Bryant (CHC) | at MIL | 7 |
Jose Ramirez (CLE) | at CIN | 7 |
Jeremy Hazelbaker (STL) | vs. COL | 7 |
Adam Duvall (CIN) | vs. CLE | 7 |
Mark Trumbo (BAL) | vs. SEA | 7 |
Yoenis Cespedes (NYM) | at WAS | 7 |
Charlie Blackmon (COL) | at STL | 7 |
McCutchen's solid .327/.365/.571 slashline in his past 11 games has resulted in him owning a rather lofty price point and has yet to endure one of his patented hot streaks. He's a viable contrarian play.
With southpaw Clayton Kershaw and the sizzling right arm of Kenta Maeda out of the way, Trout's value has returned to its familiar spot. With reverse splits in his favor against RHP Ross Stripling, he can be safely rostered in all formats.
It is only a matter of time before Blackmon's power becomes fantasy relevant again, and the Rockies' dangerous table setter is hitting .310 with two homers, four extra base hits and 10 RBIs, and two swiped bags in May.
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Bryce Harper (WAS) | at NYM | 6 |
Miguel Sano (MIN) | vs. TOR | 6 |
Joc Pederson (LAD) | at LAA | 6 |
Matt Kemp (SD) | vs. SF | 6 |
George Springer (HOU) | at CWS | 6 |
Carlos Gonzalez (COL) | at STL | 6 |
Jay Bruce (CIN) | vs. CLE | 6 |
Jose Bautista (TOR) | at MIN | 6 |
Adam Eaton (CWS) | vs. HOU | 6 |
Seth Smith (SEA) | at BAL | 6 |
Matt Joyce (PIT) | vs. ATL | 6 |
Hunter Pence (SF) | at SD | 6 |
Michael Conforto (NYM) | vs. WAS | 6 |
While Harper is one of the elite hitters on this slate, he has remained hit-less in three straight games and has a daunting matchup against Mets' RHP Matt Harvey. Harper's floor and low price point still boast some value in tournaments.
It still remains unclear when Bautista will be suspended for his part in the bench clearing brawl with the Rangers, but for now, DFS owners should buy-in to his current roll. He's gone six-games with a hit, but a matchup against righty Ervin Santana could hinder his production, as Bautista is hitting just .219 against RHPs thus far.
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Kevin Pillar (TOR) | at MIN | 5 |
Jason Heyward (CHC) | at MIL | 5 |
Nick Markakis (ATL) | at PIT | 5 |
Yasiel Puig (LAD) | at LAA | 5 |
Jayson Werth (WAS) | at NYM | 5 |
Michael Saunders (TOR) | at MIN | 5 |
Curtis Granderson (NYM) | vs. WAS | 5 |
Carlos Beltran (NYY) | at OAK | 5 |
Norichika Aoki (SEA) | at BAL | 5 |
The Blue Jays offense just can't seem to get anything going, and the leadoff spot has been shared between Pillar and Saunders. With the aforementioned Santana taking the mound, expect RHH Pillar to leadoff, but with limited support from the rest of the batting order, both are tournament plays at best.
Nothing to See Here
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Denard Span (SF) | at SD | 4 |
Matt Holliday (STL) | vs. COL | 4 |
Brett Gardner (NYY) | at OAK | 3 |
Adam Jones (BAL) | vs. SEA | 3 |
Ben Revere (WAS) | at NYM | 3 |
Billy Burns (OAK) | vs. NYY | 3 |
Though Span and Holliday have favorable matchups, there are more productive outfielders worthy of fliers.
