Ambrose drops Jericho on thumbtacks in Asylum match

It's been quite a while since the WWE Universe witnessed thumbtacks being used in a match, with the most famous use coming at King of the Ring 20 years ago when Undertaker and Mankind battled it out inside Hell in the Cell.

At Extreme Rules on Sunday, "The Lunatic Fringe" Dean Ambrose - in a match against Chris Jericho - poured a black bag of thumbtacks over the mat in the first-ever Asylum match, much to the shock of fans at the Prudential Center.

This spelled doom for Y2J, who was dropped back-first onto the tacks before being finished off with a Dirty Deeds for an Ambrose victory.
