Top Options
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
David Ortiz (BOS) | vs. COL | 9 |
Hanley Ramirez (BOS) | vs. COL | 9 |
Chris Carter (MIL) | at ATL | 8 |
Miguel Cabrera (DET) | vs. PHI | 8 |
It has been no secret the Red Sox lineup is one of the hottest in all of baseball, so DFS owners should pay up for one of -- or both -- Ortiz and Ramirez. They boast high-floors and are each enjoying hitting streaks. It should be a long day for Rockies RHP Chad Bettis, who carries a 4.18 ERA into Wednesday night.
Cabrera is swinging a hot bat, going 17-for-36 over the past 10 games with a whopping seven home runs; three of which have come in his last two games. He cooled down Phillies' young arm Vince Velasquez on Sunday and could do more of the same against Aaron Nola.
Mid-Tier Targets

---|---|---|
Steve Pearce (TB) | vs. MIA | 7 |
Eric Hosmer (KC) | at MIN | 7 |
Chris Davis (BAL) | at HOU | 7 |
Wil Myers (SD) | at SF | 7 |
Paul Goldschmidt (ARI) | at PIT | 7 |
Edwin Encarnacion (TOR) | at NYY | 7 |
Anthony Rizzo (CHC) | at STL | 7 |
Justin Bour (MIA) | at TB | 7 |
Brandon Belt (SF) | vs. SD | 7 |
Pearce has been moved up and down the Rays order this season, but his recent 15-game tear to start May has helped him become a staple in the team's lineup. He's hitting a sparkling .340 while smashing six homers and 13 RBIs during that span. He will be in everyone's cash game lineup and should be in yours as well.
With the Cubs' bats in hibernation, it's best to limit Rizzo to just GPPs on Tuesday. Over his last 10 games, he's hitting a horrific .128 with only one homer and six RBIs. His DFS salary is beginning to drop, which, despite his poor play, lifts his value. The high floor is tough to pass up.
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Adrian Gonzalez (LAD) | vs. CIN | 6 |
Carlos Santana (CLE) | at CWS | 6 |
Mark Reynolds (COL) | at BOS | 6 |
Justin Smoak (TOR) | at NYY | 6 |
Victor Martinez (DET) | vs. PHI | 6 |
Joe Mauer (MIN) | vs. KC | 6 |
Mitch Moreland (TEX) | vs. LAA | 6 |
Brandon Moss (STL) | vs. CHC | 6 |
It seems as though Gonzalez's back stiffness has subsided, with him having registered hits in three straight games. Though none of them have gone yard, or even for an extra base for that matter, his steady production at the plate and excellent position in the Dodgers batting order always make him valuable.
It's rather baffling that Martinez's cost is so low, as the Tigers' switch-hitting first baseman has begun to find power in his bat on top of continuing his consistent production, hitting .340 on the season. He draws a tough matchup against the Phillies' red-hot Nola, which gives him contrarian status.
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Freddie Freeman (ATL) | vs. MIL | 5 |
Ryan Zimmerman (WAS) | vs. NYM | 5 |
Tyler White (HOU) | vs. BAL | 5 |
Marwin Gonzalez (HOU) | vs. BAL | 5 |
Mike Napoli (CLE) | at CWS | 5 |
Albert Pujols (LAA) | at TEX | 5 |
Byung Ho Park (MIN) | vs. KC | 5 |
Jerry Sands (CWS) | vs. CLE | 5 |
John Jaso (PIT) | vs. ARI | 5 |
Jose Abreu (CWS) | vs. CLE | 5 |
Dae-Ho Lee (SEA) | vs. OAK | 5 |
Most of the Braves' bats aren't worth rostering in daily fantasy, which hinders the value of power-hitting Freeman. With a minimum of 100 at-bats, he leads the team in OBP with .365 while the team's as a whole sits at .297. He's a terrific contrarian play with an always-low ownership percentage and cheap cost.
Park favors right-handed pitching, so with Royals' RHP Dillon Gee manning the rubber in a spot start, Park's value is in tournaments. With only one hit in his last 21 at-bats, expect his ownership percentage to be extremely low.
Nothing to See Here
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |

Joey Votto (CIN) | at LAD | 4 |
Prince Fielder (TEX) | vs. LAA | 4 |
Adam Lind (SEA) | vs. OAK | 3 |
Ryan Howard (PHI) | at DET | 3 |
Billy Butler (OAK) | at SEA | 3 |
C.J. Cron (LAA) | at TEX | 3 |
Mark Teixeira (NYY) | vs. TOR | 3 |
Yonder Alonso (OAK) | at SEA | 2 |
Votto has had a rocky start to 2016, hitting just .215/.353/.378. His strikeout rate has soared up to 26.4% compared to last season's 19.4%. Until he goes on a power surge, he's a waste of a roster spot.
