Top Options
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Xander Bogaerts (BOS) | vs. COL | 9 |
Trevor Story (COL) | at BOS | 9 |
Manny Machado (BAL) | at HOU | 8 |
There will be no shortage of offense in Boston on Wednesday night, so having shares in Bogaerts or Story is a must. The former is on a 16-game hit streak where he has hit three bombs with 12 RBIs. Story is hitting .310 in his last 10 games, but hasn't had the power he did to start the season - going deep just once over that same span.
Ignoring Machado's current dreadful nine-game slump in which he's hit .111, he has 12 homers and 26 RBIs on the season and surprisingly owns an average over .300. A matchup with Collin McHugh toeing the rubber for the Astros could be what Machado needs to shake out of his current production decline.
Mid-Tier Targets
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Corey Seager (LAD) | vs. CIN | 7 |
Aledmys Diaz (STL) | vs. CHC | 7 |
Marcus Semien (OAK) | at SEA | 7 |
Francisco Lindor (CLE) | at CWS | 7 |
Zack Cozart (CIN) | vs. LAD | 7 |
Seager has been solid all month long, slashing an impressive .289/.337/.542 and striking out at a clip of just 15.4%. He has a plus matchup at home against the lowly Reds and their train-wreck bullpen.
Though Semien's tenacious approach at the plate has resulted in an alarming .215 average this season, he's third among major league shortstops in home runs with 10. If any shortstop can test the pitcher-friendly Safeco Field wall, it's Semien.
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Carlos Correa (HOU) | vs. BAL | 6 |
Jonathan Villar (MIL) | at ATL | 6 |
Elvis Andrus (TEX) | vs. LAA | 6 |
Troy Tulowitzki (TOR) | at NYY | 6 |
Brandon Crawford (SF) | vs. SD | 6 |
Jimmy Rollins (CWS) | vs. CLE | 6 |
Eduardo Nunez (MIN) | vs. KC | 6 |
Alcides Escobar (KC) | at MIN | 6 |
The Astros' bats are struggling as a whole, including Correa; however, his ceiling is tough to pass up. With an average that has dipped drastically, use Correa as a contrarian, if at all.
Tulowitzki's average is beginning to climb with hits in four straight games. His power is still present, as he has eight homers with 23 RBIs on the season.
NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Addison Russell (CHC) | at STL | 5 |
Didi Gregorius (NYY) | vs. TOR | 5 |
Asdrubal Cabrera (NYM) | at WAS | 5 |
Alexei Ramirez (SD) | at SF | 5 |
Jordy Mercer (PIT) | vs. ARI | 5 |
As long as the Cubs offense stays among the league's elite, Russell will always have some sort of value in daily fantasy. He's struggled as of late though, going 7-for-39 with two homers and eight RBIs while sporting a .238 OBP.

NAME | OPPONENT | VALUE |
---|---|---|
Brad Miller (TB) | vs. MIA | 4 |
Erick Aybar (ATL) | vs. MIL | 3 |
Freddy Galvis (PHI) | at DET | 3 |
Nick Ahmed (ARI) | at PIT | 3 |
Jose Iglesias (DET) | vs. PHI | 3 |
There's a good chance Miller finds himself on the bench with a left-hander starting for the Marlins.
