Warriors' Green: 'I approach this like it's life or death'

There was no guarantee Draymond Green was going to bust out of his funk in the Warriors' do-or-die Game 5 in the Western Conference finals Thursday night. There was, however, an ironclad guarantee that the fiery forward would treat the game like a do-or-die.

"I approach this like it's life or death," Green told reporters after the Warriors beat the Thunder, 120-111. "It's not just a game to me."

The newly minted All-NBA second teamer shot a combined 2-of-16 in Games 3 and 4, while committing 10 turnovers and registering an unthinkable minus-73 rating. Game 5 wasn't his masterpiece, but he looked a whole lot more like himself. He was more active on the glass, more disruptive at the rim, and more comfortable in the flow of the offense.

He finished with 11 points, 13 rebounds (including five at the offensive end), four assists, a steal, and four blocks - two of which were full-on stonings of Russell Westbrook at the rim.

"If all else fails, I'm going to fight," Green said resolutely. "That's what I did, and that's going to be my mindset the rest of the series."
